Mike and Gary opened the season Monday March 31, 2014 at Pine Grove in beautiful 60 degree weather. The course was generally wet but playable. What an awesome day!
The first Monday night of the 2014 Clintonville Golfers league will be March 31st! The weather has finally cooperated!
Winter has been tough this year and there hasn't been a decent day for golf since early December. Let's hope for an early spring!
The season is over except for a few golfers who venture out when the weather is favorable!
Mike and Gary played March 30th 2013 and again April 6th 2013. Steve played with us April 6th 2013. Mike and Gary played Saturday March 9th. The weather was good @ 51 degrees. It has been a very long end to winter. Phil was absolutely dead wrong again!
Mike and Gary played the game again in January on Saturday the 19th. The weather was 47 and sunny with a bit of wind but it was just great to be out again. We plan on playing again as soon as this cold snap goes away.
The 2013 season has already (unofficially)started! January 13th Mike and Gary played Pine Grove. The weather was nearly perfect with mostly cloudy skys and a temperature of 67 degrees! The fairways were a bit wet but not too bad. Hard to believe it is January in Western Pennsylvania. Mike tried out his new Rocketballz driver. All went very well.
Sadly the 2012 season came to an end. There is hope that we will resume play in March. Last year (2012) the official start of the Monday Night League was Monday March 19th at 4:30 at Pine Grove Golf Course. If you can make it please show up. Make this the year that you participate! More golf! Mike and Gary played Wednesday March 14th 2012 at Pine Grove 3:45. Sunny and 70! Who needs Florida! More golf! Sunday March 10th 2012 Mike, Gary, Steve and Mike went to Green Meadows on another beautiful sunny day. Monday as usual!!!! The season never ended as Mike and Gary have continued to play. Monday February 26th 2012 Mike and Gary played Pine Grove in wet/windy conditions but the scores didn't reflect the day. Mike shot a 36 with four birdies, yes that's right four birdies including a near hole in one on 17 that landed two inches fron the cup leaving a less than two foot putt! Monday February 20th these two real golfers played 18 holes at pine Grove. Monday February 6 these two real golfers went to Pine Grove and played nine holes. As the weather warms up maybe more golfers will join in on the fun. The course was in great shape and Mike had the first birdie of the year on number 17 with a 15 foot putt!
Not Breaking news: The team of Mike, Gary, Mike and Lou won the outing @ Lucky Hills as well as many prizes! Altogether the team took home over a dozen boxes of golf balls!

Monday March 21st 2011 two brave golfers, no doubt men of men went forth into the mist and played the game of all games, the sport of all sports. They knew that they were bearing the weight of an entire league of lessor men and took it in stride. They represented the other players and did so very well. They knew it wouldn't be easy going out for the first time in a long season, but they held their ground and finished with dignity, grace and intestinal fortitude like many others before them couldn't. As they walked off of the course having tamed it again they didn't need any fanfare as they were satisfied that they had completed their mission. Heroes of the game!

The 2010 Clintonville Golf League banquet was held Monday December 6, 2010 at 6:30 pm at the Family Tradition Restaurant in Harrisville. There were 20 people there and as always the food was great. Jack was the master of ceremonies and we discussed the founding of the league as well as the cold weather. Also noted was the loss of the owner of Meadow Lake golf course who we all respected greatly.
Monday November 1st 2010, two brave golfers, no doubt men of men played Pine Grove. The chill in the air did not deter their desire to complete a round as they were real golfers. The kind that can and will play under any sky. They had the mindset of the founding fathers of this great and noble game. The mindset that says the game must be played regardless of venue or conditions. Jim and Gary played Monday and appeased the golf gods for yet another week to end the season with dignity while holding their heads up as they completed their round for all league to be proud!
The 2009 Clintonville Golf League banquet was held on December 7th, 2009 at the Family Tradition restaurant. This was a wonderful event with a great turnout. There were over 20 people there and the food as always was great. The fellowship was even better!
