Gary,
What a bunch of wimp girlie-mans!!!! The dedicated golfers showed up at Pine Grove........brokenhearted that our sugar coated buddies were afraid they might get wet.......and I repeat MIGHT because it never rained at Pine Grove. Chuck and Jim fellowshipped together until 6:00 PM not wanting to face the harsh reality that our "buddies" had blown us off. We finally wiped the tears from our eyes and put away our gear until next week.
Jim
Gary,
Dad told me about your web site and if I didn't know better I would think you were all part of the PGA. You guys have some real talent. I know I haven't been able to beat my dad at golf for the past 10 years.( it is the score card he uses or lack thereof ) Keep up the good work. I have started golfing with some of the guys from our church, not quite the motley crew that you guys have. May God richly bless your golf and, yes, eating time.
Ken
PS Watch Big Ed's score cards ; )
Gary,
Is there a place in your golf bag for a snow shovel???......and should we go ahead and forward you our score cards anyway?
Big Ed has a very important question that he would like resolved before it goes to the Entertainment Committee........Where do we eat if we ever get to play at Shamrock?? The options may be critical to the big mans game.
There was also the question of trying to establish "handicaps". Some have questioned.........Does that mean we have to use a cane or crutches??
Jim
Gary,
A question has come up from some of the stalwarts from Clintonville........What are scorecards?? & Can they be filled out prior to playing the round of golf??
There are some of us, on the other hand that do appreciate the effort that you are putting into getting this goup worldwide attention, even if we probably won't be accepted at too many places.
P.S. Tiger will not be able to make it this evening............. still waiting to hear from Elvis.
Jim
Gary,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but......... Mr. Jack G will not be able to be in attendance this evening as there are issues at home with the "Honey Do" List. Jim will be there........hot off the Southern Tour Events. Ed will be in a State of Mourning with the news of the death of Valley View where he was the self professed Club Champion( at what we are not sure ). We are hoping that he can get over his grief long enough to make an appearance tonight.
Jim
Gary,
What is this thing you are calling a "score card"? I've never heard of or seen such a thing!
Greg
Hi Gary,
Just checked out the site and I really liked it!
Good job and thanks for the thought and effort. It should make it more fun this year.
Just a note. I heard from Bobby McFeaters (owner of Shamrock Golf Course) that Valley View is done. Closed and not going to reopen. He said the clubhouse is being transformed into a house. Evidently he was trying to sell it and couldn't get out of it what he was looking for and decided to close it. Now this is what I heard but it is from a reliable source but I will have to confirm it.
There is going to be a new course open sometime this year (supposedly). It is a 9 hole course I think and is just north of Shamrock. I think it will be comperable to Valley View but hopefully better. You know how much I hated Valley View.
We may also have to add Shamrock to replace Valley View.
Gotta go for now, See you Monday. Fore!
Michael
